YMCA Camp Ravencliff offers a natural, rustic, traditional camp setting. Our limited capacity, allowing for just 80 campers per week, allows us to truly build community among our campers. Campers are housed in a cabin with up to seven other same gender, similar aged campers, one CILT (teen leader) and one adult cabin leader. Cabins feature 10 bunks and a table. While there is no electricity in the cabins, there is electricity in the main buildings, as well as hot and cold running water in the central bathroom/shower building.
Ravencliff is located on a hillside above the Eel River which allows campers to enjoy swimming and canoeing in one of the best swimming holes on the river, with tall trees and cliffs surrounding them. Each day begins in our chapel, a redwood grove above the river with the sun streaming through the treetops - a great place to start every day! In our summer program, campers enjoy a nondenominational service with an inspirational message each morning. Our campfire circle, across from the dramatic cliffs, is a great place to end the day, singing songs and telling stories. As campfire ends, a blanket of stars sparkle overhead and shooting stars and satellites can be seen nearly every night. It is truly a memorable, magical place.
